I recently took my team to Hyatt Place for a corporate retreat, and overall, it was a decent experience. The hotel is relatively new, making it feel fresh, and the 24-hour front desk was a blessing for us night owls. While check-in went smoothly, the attendant's demeanor felt a bit off—friendly but not particularly accommodating, almost like an insincere smile hiding a “sorry, can’t help” vibe. The location just outside Austin was stunning, with views of the lush forests around Lake Travis. The free WiFi throughout the property was a lifesaver for working remotely, allowing us to stay connected without interruptions. The business center was functional, catering well to our needs without frills. As for dining, the breakfast was surprisingly good and certainly perked us up for our meetings. Plus, after working hours, the lounge area provided a nice space for informal discussions while enjoying some downtime. In short, Hyatt Place offers a solid mix of comfort, convenience, and practicality for business travelers—worth considering if you’re looking to blend work with a touch of nature. Just don’t expect anyone to go out of their way for you.
